Today started off as any other day would. Hop onto team speak with my clan and hopped on the server we were currently playing on. We go out Hunting players / Gathering and it's a pretty good day. No casualties but lots of kills. But something is Odd. I am alone away from the team, but am hearing footsteps by me all the time. I look around and there is never anyone there. Later on, a teammate says that the same is happening to him. We didn't think much of it, but later on, we put together that this was actually the admin. We head back to base. I go to eat some dinner afterward to come to hearing much gun fire and find out we were getting raided. To give you a little background on the server, It was wiped 4/22 and we started playing it that day. Today, two days later, 4/24, is the time the event occurred. Keep in mind there was no C4 at the time due to the fact of there being absolutely no airdrops. My team and I are geared and ready to fight. We figure we have nothing to worry about since there is no C4 on the server. All of the sudden, click... click... clickclick...clickclick... C4. Our wall is blown down and replaced with a doorway and a shiny metal door. At this point we are panicking. The next room is the loot room. But surely, they can't have more c4? 2 C4 is a stretch considering there is no explosives. Maybe they just find them in a loot crate. But no, they blow down our loot room door. No biggie, we should be able to stop them. I then hear it's just me and 1-2 other players left. Im on the other side of the loot room door. Picture a 1x1 with 2 metal doorways on opposite sides. Thats the situation here. I peak in and see 4-5 guys in leather. 1 is in Kevlar. They have set up a barricade in front of the door. Im able to kill 4-5 of them. Proxi kills 3-4 of them with hardly anything. All is going well, and we almost control the loot room again. I go upstairs to the roof, which is barricaded. Me and a teammate who joined the server to help out begin breaking it down. Once it's down, i'm immediately headshotted along with 2 of my other teamates. No time to react, just dead. Ji. The dude in Kevlar. Killed all of us ( one behind a door ) with headshots within a few seconds. I'm not a hackuator but it was SO OBVIOUS. So i ask about it in chat and respawn somewhere else. about 2 or 3 say they have seen Ji hack as well. But the more interesting thing is I spawn at a base recently raided. A group of about 8 or so confront me and ask what i'm doing here and i explain the situation. They tell me that they were just raided by the same people and that Ji was shooting them through walls. But even more odd, they used 4 c4 at there base. So let's add this up. 4+4 = 8. Proxi find another 2 on a body in our base. 10 C4 two days after wipe, without explosives on the server yet. People are pissed. EVERYBODY jumps in on chat. Nothing is done. We wonder where the admin is... But he is clearly there as he said himself that there would be a restart. Server restarts and, well the picture says it all. EVERYBODY knows Ji is hacking. Still nothing done. The admin finally loses it and bans all of our group, the other group of 8, and plenty of single players. Ji was the owner of the server all along and why he was not banned. And he just simply spawned in C4. Ji was a friend of the owner. Ji was an admin and banned us all so the owner would not find out about his abusing. What do you think?

So your guys clan actually kicked off. Kind of off topic but I remember when you were raiding Terminator's city and everything when you just started out (Ask Hitman. He knows). Seems like you guys have a good amount of people now. Nice work! Tell hitman that Mikhail says hi, lol. but on topic, hackers are a huge concern in the game, and I'm sure the developers are trying to deal with them. But only so much can be done atm with the terrible code they have atm. They are working on it. Eventually hackers like this guy will be gone, but in the meantime-- we have to just complain here. So yeah all I can say is move servers. Rebuild. You guys shouldn't have much trouble on admin patrolled servers.

My name is not in this list on this day but these's are my people, and this kind of shit happen's a lot when we get ahead people, just out of nowhere. We have been Admin raided 3 times, two of those's time they had to grief. Been heck raided at least once, and the one that makes me feel we are DOING SOMETHING RIGHT there is a server that has to say "NWO FREE" BECAUSE WE FUCKED THE WHOLE SERVER UP. We don't need to heck to pull the bans.

I guess all the servers I join is just bad luck... hopefully someday an awesome server we can spend months on will arrive... I honestly think owners and admins are scared when a large clan joins their server. They think that because we have some good players, and so many of them, we are all hacking. Also the admins get tired of dealing with people causing these clans that they just raid them so they will leave. Admin abuse at its finest.

It sucks tho, probably the best way for an admin to run a server is for them not to play in-game. You guys kill server communities faster than downtime, hacking or not. You're just not good for population.

Large groups are terrible for servers. I can't even count how many servers I've been to that were completely destroyed thanks to a large group coming in and cleaning out the whole server.

That might be true, but we can all agree that RUST is more fun with a group. Most server owners prefer to look at it from a Utilitarian perspective of the greatest good for the greater number. It's simply that on a server with a medium-low population ~30-60 average to peak it usually ends up being one large group that joins and goes KoS and Raid-Crazy. You drive off all of the lone-wolf and small(2-4) type clans and the server ends up being 10-15 after the large group leaves. You're like locusts. It's not an opinion that larger groups kill server communities, it's a simple fact of life. You can "dumb" it all you want but at the end of the day, as usual, I'm right and no amount of QQ rating can change that.

I'm not sure y u assume that we have a group that is so large it take half of the server population, that is just totally untrue. We might have members but we don't always play at the same time or on the same server. Adding to that, when we join as a large group we make sure that we stand by the rule of shoot after being shot at, which has worked very well for us, just in this case it did not work out, obviously. Assuming that we just KoS and not be friendly towards smaller groups is a bogus assumption. We are nothing like "locusts" or whatever, we are far from it. I have met some groups that just KoS all the time and have no real motive or friendly side to them and that does destroy a community on a server, I totally agree. Lately with all the new members that number has raised sometimes. But with 6/60 people on that's 1/10 of the server, nothing crazy. I see your point and I agree that they CAN ruin servers, if not run properly. It comes down to what type of group your going to be. If it becomes that bad, a lot of the time the admin bans them anyway.
