When im cutting wood i sometime suicide, how?
Im to close to the wood?
Bug with the new patch.
I've heard it happens when you crouch near it and hack at it.
Not sure tbh, but it's likely.
Just don't kneel, and you should be fine.

I did have this happen once yesterday. I believe it was farming a rock though so I may be more widespread than just wood.
Already posted. There are issues with accidental death when harvesting stone/wood.
If you get too close, the phase change when it morphs to smaller pile can cause tons of fall damage. To avoid this do NOT stand right next to or on top of the rock/wood pile. They are aware of the issue and will likely have a fix for it before too long.
Yeah I noticed that also. I think the hint is the audio when on top sounds the same as walking in a house.

Wouldn't disabling the fall damage like the fix for the suicide hack work for the time being to stop this from happening?
Dude, I know that chopping wood is a horrid chore, but no reason to kill yourself over it.
