Rust would make a nice Western/Survival game. The craftable buildings/technology/setting works well for a western style game.
Add:
Hero/Bandit style system. Hero's could be Cowboys, Bandits could be Outlaws.
Cowboy Hats
Bandanna
Badges
Gun belts
Dunno if Mounts are in the cards at all for this game/if so Horses!
Treasure Hunting i.e. gold/silver prospecting
Females
Mini Games i.e. craftable poker tables/ horseshoes/ whatever whatever
Replace:
Zombies with Indians (everyone shoots the indians lawl, but watch out they tomahawk your face if you don't be careful) Low Armor/Primitive weapons so as to make them around same difficulty as zombies currently are.
Air Drops with Trains (Train Robberies)
Machine Guns w/Rifles
9mm w/Six Shooters (or whatever they called dem guns)
C4 with Dynamite (weaker than c4 is preferably)
Roads with trails
Map:
I think it could be a good idea to have resources spread differently i.e. instead of a somewhat even spread across the map creating a rather dull map as we have now, create a map where loot is broken up by region. For example, have a large forest where wood piles are in bulk (although i would rather just get wood from trees because why are these woodpiles here in the first place!) another area of the map is a rocky/mountainous type terrain where ore/rock is found more abundantly, and then maybe a coastal type area(s) where wildlife/fishing is more abundant etc etc. This would encourage players to move around the map more and create more need to explore in general. I think still having some of all types of resources spread around the entire map would be good just not in abundance. Also, if servers are gonna be 200 players please make a much larger map!
I dunno if this is a popular idea but at least it could separate this game from Dayz/Warz/Stalker/Minecraft etc etc...
*hell, even the name rust sounds like a western movie
the name rust actually make me think of the decay feature in the game, and I do not really like ur ideas, you basically just changed the whole game.. I know it's in alpha and it will change it alot, but it's like you changed a racing game to a fps

I don't really see how the suggestions I made change the game that much. It's mostly skin changes and map layout. Thanks for the feedback anyway :D.

Exactly. That is a good 40% of the content we have right now :v: to scrap it for that would essentially mean starting over.
This would be something more suited for a mod/total conversion while the developers of Rust continue on with their own vision.
If support for mods is in the cards for the future, I'd really be interested in doing one. So much potential.
I feel the game devs are going for more of a Stalker/Mad max feel, whenever they get around to adding cars, and given that they will be changing weapons to look more duct-taped together n such. But when it's fully released I see no reason for this to not be a mod.
