Doesn't even have to be a hud map, or one you have on you at all times, but use that paper, craft one, and when you explore new areas, it marks it down on the map
Would make things SOOOO much easier to find in game.
Making an in game map isn't a priority currently

i pretty much know this map like the back of my hand..you don't need a map, just go explore.
If you play with friends its easier using that map and say "lets meet at G 13".
In game map would be nice ONLY if it would be only find in loot and i wouldn't give you your position.
As far as I have heard the current map/terrain isn't finished and will be updated so i'm not sure an in game map item is really required, it'll take less than a week to realize the map is tiny and easy to navigate. Setup a base in one spot and explore out from there.
how about open map image that's in the link above, launch Rust. Your key bind for the ingame map will be alt-tab.
