Guys, I like the Dinosaur idea in games. I really do, because they're terrifying. However, there's a game that is supposedly coming out soon and might already be in beta called The Stomping Land. It's being worked on by a Skyrim developer and a small studio. Looking at some video of the game, I don't think Rust would compete very well as a dinosaur title. I really loved the concept art of the fluffy chickens of doom that Garry did. I want to run in terror from things we normally wouldn't be afraid of. Turn the world on its head and make it something truly freaky.
Garry will not integrate dinos.

Dinosaurs are awesome.Some people think it's the choice of kids etc,but let's get this straight. Chicken berserks or flying turtles,or even big ass frogz are the choices of people,who : 1) Don't know what they're talking about ; 2) They want something that they don't know.
Dinos would fit into the game. An unknown island,in a shit hole, with cavemen who owns M4s(lul) and fighting versus Dinosaurs. That's amazing.
The game would actually show how cavemen ppl survived long time ago vs dinos,lul :)
Its just a poll to get an idea of what the community wants to see. Its not like someone has them at gunpoint forcing them to add what wins. Also, and its hard to say this without sounding like a poor sport as what I voted for(mutant humans) is not faring well, there seems to be a good chance that people are trying to rig it in favor of dinosaurs.

I think the word Dinosaur conveys bad connotations, people think of them as childish as what child doesn't love dinosaurs. Call them 'raptors' as it is a better more marketable word they are not necessarily dinosaurs of the past but more mutant animals/reptiles that have evolved/mutated onto two legs with a dinosaur like appearance.
I think these raptors fit in very well with rust but at the same time I don't see why we cant have raptors and other mutant animals, there was a huge variety of dinosaur, mutated fluffy chickens wouldn't necessarily need to be off the cards by using this concept.
So...just because one game is having dinosaurs, another can't? That is the most idiotic and childish argument you can make next to, "I don't like dinosaurs so no game should have them." Nobody is saying that he should implement dinosaurs straight out of a science textbook. Dinosaur-like creatures however would be an awesome idea and fit the game very well.

I agree with op. The stomping land seems like they are perfecting the dinos and tribes. I dont believe rust would be able to compete. From the gameplay I saw the stomping land looks way better than rust. Adding either dinos or tribes would be facepunch digging the grave for this game. Not to mention they are also going to be competing with The Forest, looks like a super dope game as well.
Ive never even heard of the stomping land before so thank you op for bringing it to my attention! Definitely going to buy it when it becomes available for early access.
