Welcome to Rusted Hatchet, a new Rust server focused on strategic and open gameplay in the Rust environment. We have worked to balance mods with the game’s original intent to maximize enjoyment while holding true to a reality survive-and-thrive scenario. We also want all players to have the same opportunity and will be wiping the server fresh on *February 1st* (more info below). Friendly and engaged community, competitive playing field, no hacking, group play, active admins - these are just a few of the things you can expect at Rusted Hatchet. We hope you’ll join us!

Here’s how to find our server simply:
1. Start Rust and hit F1 to bring up the console.
2. Type “net.connect 173.234.142.122:28025” and hit Enter.
3. You will be connected to the server.

Tired of hunting for the most recently wiped server to give you a somewhat equal start? Well mark you calendars, favorite our server, and come join us for our fresh server event this *Saturday, February 1st, at 10am EST*! We’ll be wiping everything clean and starting new at that date and time. The server is live for testing and balancing until then, so feel free to come play and meet the admins and others you’ll be playing with.

In order to improve the loot structure and make the game more competitive, we are customizing the loot tables to reduce the drop rate of the "game changing" items: research kits, military weapons, and explosives. We have tested it significantly and are ready to rock! Use the free Mumble service to chat with your friends, find new people to play with, join groups, and communicate easily with our admins.

We love Rust, too, and we want to keep it fair for all those playing...including us! We will [b]never[/b] call in airdrops manually for ourselves, spawn our own items, or do anything that gives us an unfair advantage. We will also stop at nothing to eliminate hacking or abusive behavior.

We will be using the most recent version of Oxide with the below settings:
– Low C4
– Low "Military Weapons"
– Low "Military Ammunition"
– 100 total player slots
– PvP enabled
– New player friendly
– Sleepers
– Door sharing w/ combo locks
– Starter kit available (with a 30 minute cooldown)
– Personal messaging (PM)
– Half-craft (50% crafting time)
– Airdrops (15 player minimum during daylight)
– Kill and death rankings
– Personal kill/death statistics
– Kill alerts
– Login/out alerts
We are all set and ready to go for the wipe! We added the Ownership Remover tool today as a way to help combat griefing. You can read more at our Steam page linked above.

Successful launch so far! We are really happy with the loot tables and feel they have brought the perfect needed balance to the game. They have already been downloaded over 100 times since posting them public on the mod's website two days ago! The slower loot acquisition means the opportunity to join fresh and be competitive is still there...come get it!
Hit 16 players last night...first time we passed the 15-player minimum for an airdrop. Numbers are growing but still a great chance to come in a get competitive!
Have some good competition going but need more players! If you're looking for a lower population server with some much improved loot tables, come join us!
Wiped the server fresh today with the implementation of Patch 1.12. Server is running smooth and ready for some fresh competition!
