. Whats the point of building savaged tools? They r much more expensive than the normal ones but they do less. I mean.. they break much faster than the others and the cuantity those tools collect doesent make them worty over the normal ones. and they r still much more expensive to build and repair. Sugestion: if u down a lot their reparation cost, those homemade tools can became actually worthy to craft.

. I u fill ur inventory with stone or wood and u build something like 65 spears if it were wood. and u cancel it u get a only unlimited stack of wood. Last game i had a stack of 80k of stones myself by constructing and cancelling barricades.

.Another problem i still found is that u spend ur whole time colecting wood metal sulfure to keep ur furnaces working 20/7. Im ok with rocks even when the rock material get useles when u get into the steel age. but is simply 2 much the time u spend with the wood.
My suggestions is add tier 2 furnaces that needs less wood to do the same than tier 1 ones.
. Suddenly the too cold status vanised since the last time i played, and u only can get that status under the water now. I dnt understand why. It give a sense to clothes.
Anyway.. clother are pretty much useless right now. Theres no cold to protect from, radiactive ones works but it makes a small diference. and the rest doesent make much diference one between another.
My suggestion is. Tier 1,2 and 3 to protect urself from cold. (Burlap,Urban,Snow) About rad clothes: tier 1 and 2. (Hazmat,Antiradiation) tier 1: small protection like they do right now. Tier 2 U will b unnable to run but it gives u a huge protection vs radiation. And about personal protection (Raid clothes) metal stuff to protect from bullets also in at lest a couple of tiers. Add a tier 3 that makes u unnable to run or climb could also b nice.
. About Maps. There should b 2 dif kind of maps. Personal maps like the one we have right now. And the full map in a picture where u cant track ur position but gives u an idea about the whole map. this seccon could b usefull with the addition of the compass. something that humanity have been using for ages.
. Also for traveling long distances could b usefull to b abble to ride horses after some small fights with them and having the correct item to do it. Of course u will fall down as soon as he get scared or wounded but at lest it will help u to travel a bit faster between point a and b if u dnt have surprises on the way.
. Also whould b nice the addition of dogs. pretty much like a wolf but not that aggressive. So u can make him stay with u and by u if u fed him with meat. Gives u some extra protection even when u sleeping and he will also detect raiders if they come close. If is done properly could b a big adition.
. Less Gunfires more bows, arrows etc... It should b harder to get a weapon in this game. U should get the aKs, asault rifles and thomsons only after a big investment.
Example: u can only get that weapons from military radtowns that u cant explore unless u have a tier 2 antiradiation suit. Is much easier to build a homemade explosive than build a gunfire weapon and thats how it should b. So explosives and granades stays the way they r right now but gunfire weapons get much harder to get.
. Add some traps for the house. I love the safehouse building stuff, creates traps inside my own house especially. Give me more options there r not many things i can work with yet.
. Add saws. I dnt get the point of building a hammer at all for roks when u have pickaxes and icepicks. But i think that having a saw could add something over getting a axe for the trees.
And.. Pretty much that all at this point. If i get more thougs id let u know.

[B]The Salvaged axe gives you more wood per swing (around 15),it has a higher gather rate then the axe despite the durability and cost,the salvaged pick has a faster swing speed but the same harvest per hit as the pickaxe,it has less durability and higher cost as a result,the salvaged hammer hands down is a pretty good weapon.[/B]

[B]Roofs take more damage from below then from above,getting rid of overhangs is fairly simple and don' need a fix.[/B]

The salvaged axe does not have a higher rate than the axe, it has the same exact rate. It yields 28% more per swing but it also happens to be exactly 28% slower to hit.
The icepick does have a slightly higher gather rate than the pick axe (30 for pick axe, 25 for icepick but icepick hits every 1.25 sec while the pickaxe is every 1.5 sec).
Edit: this is a lie just did the math and its the same :)

Pick Axe damage: 30 speed: 1.5 dps: 20
Rock damage: 10 speed: 1 dps: 10
Stone Spear damage: 28 speed: 1.2 dps: 23.33333
Wooden Spear damage: 20 speed: 1.2 dps: 16.66667
Stone Pick Axe damage: 17 speed: 0.9 dps: 18.88889

I think the devs suspended balancing the salvaged tools for the moment. I hope this means they'll get their own resource. Simply making them metal++ detracted from their killer look and theme. Maybe we have to find the salvaged gear amongst the ruins. Or maybe we can salvage all those signs and junked cars and such in order to make the salvaged gear items.
Here's hoping that the salvaged tools get balanced back in somehow now that the next stage of the game is coming into focus more.
