I've been having this problem ever since I accidentally hit the check box asking me to submit system info to the easycheat or rust devs to help them develop. Ever since I have done this I get the StartService Failed 1450 from easycheat every time I try to launch the game, thus preventing the launch. I can launch the game directly from the files, but receiving no steam authentication attached to it, closes itself. I have searched various other threads and found that antivirus is the most common problem. I have no antivirus and have disabled all windows antivirus, not the problem. one had a fix where he simply uninstalled easycheat then reinstalled it. No dice there either. I've run out of options and these are the only two fixes I can find. If someone can tell me how to uncheck that box that will never pop up again, or to circumvent this altogether, I would be very grateful.
