"No one is getting unbanned" - Garry, are you sure you meant that? - Rust

In your post on the thread for VAC bans (located here [url]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1346001&p=43484461#post43484461[/url] ) you mention that no one will be unbanned, due to the announcement shown by the hack's creator stating anyone banned should report a false positive. However, pictured there is this Twitter conversation with "KEEMSTAR" (located here [url]https://twitter.com/playrust/status/421253814860005376[/url] ) showing that you have, in fact, unbanned at least one potential* hacker. Recently, I located a video -- among other things -- all proving that "KEEMSTAR" was in fact hacking (Video located here [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwnwwgG_vpM[/url] ). So, my question to you: Why would you find it appropriate to unban someone so clearly hacking? Is it because A) you genuinely hadn't heard about this; or B) you unbanned him because he provides you with publicity and potential buyers through YouTube; or C) some other unknown reason? I challenge you or any other Rust dev to answer this question, without banning me for pointing this out. Please explain to me why he is not banned, despite video evidence of hacking, when you say there is a zero tolerance policy and you won't even consider unbanning anyone else. I love this game but this is ridiculous. Point being, if you are going to unban someone because he has a lot of followers whether or not he was hacking, please at least investigate some of your bans. If admins get banned from their own servers -- which they pay monthly for -- or if someone who wasn't doing anything wrong is banned after paying you $20 for a game they can no longer play at all, shouldn't you at least look into it?

Even if there was, and this guy is a legit hacker, who really cares? It was one guy, and a small slip of judgement, but you can't blame FP, they have no control over VAC, Valve does. Sure, FP may have been in contact with the guys at Valve to fix this "mixup," but it was Valve's call in the end, not FPs. Now get your head out of your ass, please.

Also, admin controls weren't the issue here, there was no false positive. Also on a side note, I apologize for my first post, I came off way too strong, I do that sometimes, but the rest of it still stands, complaining about it will do no good either way.

Just because it says "One ban on record" doesn't mean that he is still banned. If the ban was lifted, it might still say one ban on record... I'm not sure of this, just a thought EDIT: also his last time playing rust was on the 9th. But it said his ban was 6 days ago.... The 9th was only 4 days ago so it looks like he played after the ban

That being said, I don't know whether or not there are any non-VAC servers currently.

Keemstar's tweet is only 3 days old. What do you think the odds are that he didn't play for a few days, tried to use it, got the notice that he was VAC banned, and [B]then[/B] tried to get Garry to unban him over Twitter? Because a video of a guy sitting in a room talking about another guy hacking is totally proof of hacks...

No, if VAC bans are lifted, they're lifted off of the profile of the unbanned innocent. Keemstar was fucking hacking and he didn't get unbanned. End of story.
