How cool would it be if you could use wood to build traps...maybe a pit in the ground with spikes at the bottom...stuff like that. It would help protect your house.
And what if trolls built that around ur house making it impossible to get in/out?
And what if trolls built that around ur house making it impossible to get in/out?
Would probably require a lot of wood for only one square of it. I'd guess maybe a spike pitfall or something. OR a dug out trench with sharpened sticks at the bottom.
Might be hard to manipulate the land, or to modify it as such. but if it was possible, there should be a way to counter it. planks or such could make a bridge or so over the obstacle.
Doors can only be opened by owner......Traps can only be placed within certain distance of buildings by owner.
agree. I was thinking about how to build traps when I see this game, but not realistic in the settings right now. If you can dig a hole, put spike wall in it, and cover with something would be great enough. To build a maze with many traps would be fun.
It would just provide another grief mechanism to the game. Imagine an entire field around resource valley filled with these things and people monopolizing on the resource spawns. Even worse around rad towns. Don't really agree with it sorry.

A Bear Trap that could be concealed in underbrush/leaves/etc. If you step in it, naturally you take some damage. Based on what you are wearing on your legs, you'd have bleeding applied in varying degrees. The trap itself can't kill you from damage, but you can bleed out from it. If you get free from it, you suffer a movement speed debuff based on leg wear as well. If you spot it, you could disarm it and take it with you, or you could trigger it with the hatchet or something long, or you could try and lure some wildlife into it.
