• Problem to find servers

Hey guys, I bought rust in Steam 4 days ago in my account and in my Stepson's Account too.. so i bought Rust 2 times.. To sum up, a note: My rust and my Stepson's rust presents the same problem, so it isn't my computer at all.. An Image to simplify: I can connect on all those servers but.. Well, the problem is that the game load about 150 ~ 200 servers from 2 days ago to now.. Before this happens, i could choose among 3k+ servers listed.. and i just don't know what happened.. I've researched on google and here in the forum and i tried the following steps to resolve: • Restart my router for 30 seconds • I changed the Steam's rust option from "No Betas" to Development(didn't work) and then for Legacy (old version). • I've uninstalled rust by steam, and then i deleted the folder at steamapps and downloaded it again.. • I've turned off my firewall and anti-virus.. Nothing changes.. Now i'm with a clean installation of rust again and the problem is not solved.. I did not use hacks or something like this... so i'm sure that i'm not banned since i can connect on the few listed servers.. Anyone of you guys knows what else can i do to solve this problem? I use a version of 64bits Windows 8 Up-to-date. Thank you for your attention ! Hope you guys can help me :D
Where are you situated at?
I'm in Brazil.. The ping in 200 + is because i'm updating League of Legends.. but even with lower ping like 30 ~ 50 the results are the same
Where are you situated at?
This. I may just be where you are located. I'm in Canada and I can join US and CAN servers easiily but there is some lag when I look to join EU servers or even finding them. I notorious for looking at playrust.io for server info and finding map sizes 6000-8000. Many overseas servers don't show up but that may be an issue of who the admins are booking their server from as some companys grant servers to EU and US/CAN players, whilst others may be more "localized".
I opened playrust.io now and the servers loaded on the site are: 9050 players on 4171 servers.. Then i opened my rust and i got less than 200 servers again '-' So the servers are working but my client can't find them at all.. Edit: Oh, and the site shows some Brazilian's Servers that the client don't.
i'm a little unclear on the problem; is it just that you have less results for servers than you were expecting? as far as i know, Experimental (the main branch) only lists the first 200 results in the server list regardless of how many are online, whereas Legacy (old rust) lists all of them. the other thing is that if your client and the server don't have matching updates, it probably won't show those servers either.
Hmm, yeah.. the problem is the quantity of servers showing up.. Because 2 days ago, was appearing like 3000 community servers and lots of oficial one.. And now, i can't see more than 150 servers.. But, if i enter on playrust.io it shows more than 4000 servers online and if i get manually the ip adress, i can connect by the in-game console normally '-'
2 days ago were you running Experimental? because as far as i know this 200 server limit has been there for months, and being on Legacy would make more sense:)
Hmm, i think so.. the times i played i needed the building plan to build a house so i think its the experimental version.. But i changed on Steam's rust property to legacy old version, i tried it out.. It shows few servers too.. but i dont now if there shows up few servers because legacy is old or if its an error too..
yeah if you need the building plan, it's experimental. hmm, not sure how you got more than the 200 cap then, but afaik it's normal to have it limited to 200 results;)
Hey, look.. i was playing League of Legends till now... And before go to bed i opened rust one more time.. And seems to be resolved by its self.. i don't know if the game get some update..
