Suggestion for CARD: Bodies should be lootable without killing them - just like chests, boxes etc.

I suggest creating a way to incapacitate a player so that you could loot their backpack so long as you don't kill them, essentially bypassing the locked backpack. They would wake up after a minute or so if you didn't kill them afterward. Adding more options and diversity to PVP can do nothing but make the game more interesting. Note that knocking someone out shouldn't be easy. Could probably even add a stealth element to the game eventually, maybe a special set of clothing like a ghillie suit or different color cloth armor to blend in. This would necessitate adding the ability to go prone and crawl. Maybe even allow access to their doors within a certain small radius if you take them down next to their house? Wouldn't want this radius large enough to get you past any more than 2 doors though.
Blunted arrows?
Club them with a baseball bat, branch or club?
Choke them out with a garrot?
Bolas thrown to take them down for several seconds? They could still sit up and shoot you though, and this should have limited range.
Lots of potential here to add an entirely new element to PVP!!! Most of the weapons are easily constructed which fits the game perfectly!
They're already making somethign so you can loot a guy without killing him, you should look at the trello.
Umm, I did read the Trello. I'm suggesting an enhancement to go along with the proposed change. You'll notice that I copied and pasted the Trello card title exactly? I even put the word CARD in the title? You should actually read before commenting.
Anyway, another suggestion with regard to stealth would be that it act like small stashes. You're harder to see the longer you remain motionless. After several minutes, maybe 5-10, you are only visible from about 15-20 feet away. The range would require some balancing. There would be some imbalance with the element of surprise, especially with the bolas, but if you're willing to put in the time to hide, maybe it's not as much of an imbalance after all.
Some of these suggestions would provide PVP options for those who aren't necessarily into the guns blazing style that is most prevalent in the game now, especially in non-rad areas with loot boxes and red wolves/bears.
Well if you mention "CARD" i wouldn't link that to the fact that you've read the Trello..
The word "CARD" was in the title of the thread from the beginning.
Anyway, any suggestions as to how to make this work well? I like the card suggestion on Trello. I'm just thinking we can expand on the idea to enhance PVP. I should probably find a stealth topic thread to put these ideas in, but the card sparked the idea.
