Not able to find Crude Oil in Snow Biome / Grassy Biome

Hello everyone.
I decided to build my huge base in Snow biome, because I thought that Quarries could give more than 1 HQM in the Snow Biome, but found out it always gives one.
You can't find oil in the Snow Biome, which makes it so utterly unfair. I mean why would someone want to build a base in Snow Biome, if you can just go to desert and get both HQM and Oil at the same time next to eachother?
I think this is something that needs to be fixed, because right now Snow Biome is pretty much useless, as I don't want to run for 15 min with my low grade fuel, to place it in a pump jack in desert.
The Devs said that you can find oil in snow, but after 300 charges im 100% sure it is not possible
Please fix this devs, because I like snow biome the most and right now without oil here, it's very unfair. It would be fair if u could not get HQM in desert/arid biome.
Please fix!
The snow biome is the only location where the weather itself can kill a person. There's something useful about it.
I guess having oil in snow is like having hemp fiber on the beach.... your not going to have all resources and therefor you need to venture outside your zones to get specific materials.
The resources are spread out by design.
The devs don't want you to wall off an area and have everything available to just camp in your base mining and crafting everything.
They want players to explore and be at risk while harvesting, transporting, hunting, and gathering.

LOL! Funny guy.
Snow biome is great for a number of reasons. It's always my favorite place to build. It's less populated and has great access to trees and REALLY dense concentrations of rock nodes. Rivers also make good natural boundaries in the north. If you put stone walls right up against the water, they are almost tool proof. Anyone sitting in the water for the 20 minutes it takes to pick through a stone wall is gonna die a dozen times before they get through. Sometimes you can find a river that curves really well and protect like 75% of your compound walls this way.
I feel like the snow camo outfit is probably the "best" one too. It's really hard to see someone in full snow camo while they run through trees/bush. The desert and forest camo patterns don't seem to match up to their biomes quite as well to me.
I love the snow too, its magical and snowy!
I haven;t played for a while, but I thought that HQM was ONLY available in the snow, and oil ONLY in the desert?? Has this changed?

Oil is only in the 1/3re bottom. HQM is in the top 2/3rd but more prevalent in the top 1/3rd.
There are exceptions to this but they are extremely rare and do not exist on all maps.
Oil is also altitude bound to lower grounds. You won't find it on top of a moutain.
