It's just not useful when you end up unconscious for the world to pillage your butt and lose everything
If you notice rapid rubberbanding, immediately stop moving. This can happen when walking through a door you closed too quickly, or when you drop rapidly from a rock (this one is pretty tough to avoid).
It's designed to catch hackers doing "unusual things", such as moving too quickly (speedhack, sometimes goes off when you drop from a rock), or noclip (clipping through door when you close it too soon).
That's my understanding, anyway.

I get violation kicks when a door closes on me while im trying to walk through. its pretty much a guarantee...
