Hello, i've been playing rust for a couple of weeks now, for note this error only started today. When I tried launching rust today from the steam Icon in my games library I got the error "rust.exe has stopped working" I found a way to bypass this by just starting the game via the exe file skipping the direct 9 launch option. When the game loaded, I looked up a server, joined it, now this is when things start happening, a few things will load and than the game will disconnect me from the server with the error "Disconnected: EAC: unconnected" I've tried atleast a dozen servers all different types, nothing, I've tried verifying cache, reinstalling, etc etc etc. I've tried everything. It's just today this started happening, I see no errors in the console either, I looked up this problem online and people have had this problem in the past but the fix is far outdated for me to use and it doesn't look like there is a specific fix for my problem on this version

If you need any other information or screenshots let me know.
A few things:
1. Try to reinstall EAC under easyanticheat folder in the Rust folder. Reboot after this.
2. If you've an anti-virus, it could be messing EAC up. Check its settings.
3. If that doesn't work, double check your router/firewall port rules and access. Make sure it's not being blocked via hardware or software.

Having this error now that I've finally fought for hours to get this game to start without crashing...
Same error, please I've bought Rust this week and download it today to play it but it's not possible! When I try joining a server the game crashes with no error... I checked my services and EAC is disactivated and this error show up when I try to activate it: "The EasyAntiCheat service on Local Computer started and then stopped." Help please, also will I get notifications or something when anyone responds? Thanks.

These don't work. Actually nothing works.
I feel like the Rust.exe stopped working error I get when I run Rust from the steam library has something to do with it.
Going to bump this again, does no one have fix for this?
Uninstalling and reinstalling EAC fixed it for me
Just verify the integrity of the game cache in steam for Rust.
Right click Rust > Properties > Local Files Tab > Verify = Fix (it worked for me)
Having the same problem. I honestly have to just get lucky to get in game. Have tried reinstalling EAC, reinstalling rust, disabling all antivirus software, verifying game cache. Sometimes it will let me in frist try, sometimes it will give me the EAC error for an hour. Help ples
I am running into the same 2 errors! No solution to be found! Fuck EAC!
