• Where can I get a server?

Looked at playrust.com and could not find anything about renting a server.
Does this help? http://playrustwiki.com/wiki/List_of_Server_Providers
If any server owners read this, can you please leave an honest cost and amount of work that it takes to run a server? Im a bit curious.
$20/month is one of the cheapest you can get. As far as amount of work... that's really up to you. You can be a dedicated active admin or launch the server and never even log in.

Some people rent for themselves, others rent to make money, probably other reasons out there :) Been renting a server about 2months with HFB if you have any questions I'm happy to help.
FPS should have one when my billing cycle comes up :D
Whatever you do don't get HFB. From many forum threads and my own friend, HFB is really unstable and susceptible to DDOSing. They rarely respond to your support tickets, and when they do it's some automated garbage. Plus they want to charge extra for "stronger DDOS protection" or whatever.

I'm not surprised I see complaints about them on the forums constantly.

At the time they were even really quick in responding to my tickets. After that was fixed the server ran AWESOME and had no issues until I banned some dickweed from my server and he threatened to DDoS and I said "lolz go fuck urselfz" (not really like that) and he took it down for a few hours. I got a response from HFB in a couple hours after putting in the ticket, I kinda got the copy/paste response but they told me I could switch to Quebec bla bla bla everyone's seen it... My point is, when their servers aren't being DDoS'd they run AWESOME. Lag spikes were always rare and didn't last, I had my server hosted in Seattle so my ping was like 9ms so that probably had something to do with it but still. They get a really bad rap but the servers are nice when they aren't being attacked, which for me was only once. I think a few people get butthurt and go on the forum about it (which is reasonable) and say how awful it was but no one ever mentions the good parts. I too have a server form HFB and had no issues really........I have only had to rise 1 ticket which was picked up and resolved in 4 hrs...... Please feel free to call me a FanBoy!
I use FPS Servers for 19.95 a month. Teamspeak server lets you log in and talk to their various escalation level techs one on one. Best customer service ive had in awhile.
Multiplay is working well for me so far. $27 a month for 50 players and unbranded server.
Nitrous network, 20$ for 50 slots. No problem ATM
I think they sell them in a 2 pack at Walmart, If you catch them after the holidays they're about 50% off in some parts of the US. Make sure to get the value packs or the combo bundles that come with a TS3 server or a website, definitely worth every penny.
