You were supposed to know what you were signing up for when you bought the Alpha.
The devs have been open about the fact that they don't want Rust to be a DayZ clone anymore, and that they decided this months ago. They have also been open about the fact that they would be removing zombies, and that this was in fact supposed to have happened before Rust launched on Steam, but didn't.
Welcome to alpha, where things change.
They said the red wolves and bears are temporary until they get a proper loot drop. But Rust never seemed like a DayZ clone though. Dean Hall said himself that Rust never seemed like any form of DayZ clone. Just because it has zombies in it doesn't mean it is copying DayZ...

lol you guys sure do make some silly assumptions. Removing zombies was planned waaay in advance, and they already have a substitute lined up to replace it that they've said will be announced soon. How is any of this being done 'without direction'
i wanna a dayz clone, it's much better than red bears with backpacks.
i guess i must buy a new pc to run dayz standalone properly
it sucks live in third world with very expensive hardware, it sucks pay like 3x the hardware value because i was born in a such terrible country.

You should take the time to understand why we say "it's alpha" over and over again. When you bought the game, you agreed to the description of the game you should have read. "Everything will change. Beware." Sorry if the devs don't follow your idea of how game development should work. They've said from the beginning that they aren't going to keep them. What these studios are doing is smart. They make a change, wait for the initial overreaction to die down, and see how people adjust to the new mechanics. So stop whining about the devs experimenting. This is how they work.

I, too, am concerned about realism in a game where you start out as a butt-naked and bald white guy that somehow can build homes in a matter of minutes and can craft high-quality guns from "low quality" metal without any sort of advanced tooling machinery.

They were hinting at the new NPCs or mechanic that would replace zombies and the red wolves...so no, not cars.

There's a car in the game; you can't spawn it unless you have admin powers, and then it's kind of buggy since it's not really ready yet.
