is it against the rules to play at 2 accounts at once in rust on one computer?
recently i had an idea to play on one account staying at my base and crafting gunpowder, and on 2nd account normally play (running along the map, gathering resources etc.).
I personally wouldn't see a problem wtih running multiple accounts simultaneously. However, I think your hurdle would be running more than 1 instance of Steam on a computer. Not sure if that can be done.
i did it yesterday, using sandboxie program. I could run 2 steam accounts at once. I am just courius is it legit to play on two accounts at the same time before i will buy 2nd Rust.
think your problem would be with steam, not rust. given that you are having to use external methods rather than anything built into steam to run 2 instances, they may have rules about not doing it.
Running multiple steam accounts using third party software isn't the problem but do you really want to run the game twice on one system? Not that smart imo.
so if it is legit i will have to try to do that with my friend's account first.
i will let you know what happened.
I'm predicting he fries his RAM.
i will set minimal settings on one account.
beside i played gta V and Rust at once, both maxed.
