Why has this not been implemented yet?
What is the hold-up on one of the most basic utilities in a sandbox game?
How long have you had to make headway on this?
Get off your ass and get to work.
There was a remove function with the hammer before and it led to huge bases getting completely wiped off the map in a matter of minutes after the cupboard was found.
Yeah, that sounds like a perfectly good reason to get rid of the cupboard and find a less retarded means of authorizing people to build at your base, not to remove one of the most basic functions for base-building.

this is very much happening on modded servers, with the remove tool, without a hammer, it gives "retaliation" a whole new perspective :D
I sort of miss the legacy thing where people could just build whatever to raid your base, and true gentlemen walled off placed foundations on the way out, and if you had beef, you walled off their entire everything just to make them mad
The remove tool is called timed explosive charge.

Legacy didn't even have a remove tool, and pillars / ceilings / floors were permanent no matter what till they rot.
How about giving them a chance to implement the tool in the most effective way, the first way was too grief abusive, the current way is too short term, they'll figure it out.
Everyone has their own view on what takes priority, frankly there are a number of other mechanics that need to be flushed out before this one can have a viable method that can't be abused.
