You know when you press v to talk to someone , people can hear you in a certain radius , now that there talking about more advance lock system that mean there's place for technologies. What about radio , like a key to a door that you can make to a friend there would be , frequency that you can put your radio so people could hear you from a greater distance that would be nice to communicate without the use of the chat to a ''friend'' 2 miles away. the uses of antenna to boost the signal ( and the higher the antenna is the better signal there is). That could lead to people creating radio station for music , or in game merchant ads. this could also lead to triangulation position with some king of rudimentary radar based on the frequency of the radio in huge procedural map that could be really nice way to find people that you ''intercept their frequency'' that is my idea.
I like it a lot, although the radio should be craftable and not spawn given. The rudimentary radar thing and the triangulation maybe is a bit too much. The only problem that I see is that this is an online game so skype, teamspeak or even steam voicechat will ruin this feature. If it wasnt for that, being able to voice contact any player anywhere in the map just by knowing the frequency he is using, could be a really inmersive feature.
has been suggested before, but it's a nice idea having radios, especially with limited range and antennas to boost the signal(could be landmarks, and become something of a capture point since it improves your communication ability)
