• Doors: Open/Close Delay? (Poll)

In a game which forces you to build the most secure base possible, you often end up with LOTS of doors. Why on earth then, would they add such a long delay between every operation of a door? Does anyone else agree this is the MOST annoying addition to Rust in a while?
IMO take like 0.5 - 0.9 seconds off the door and it's fine.
I think door closing delay is the least of Rusts gameplay worries but yes it is annoying.
Either way, there will always be airlocks. Also Are you so careless to open your door? Do you not listen to the surroundings? I love rust because it requires you to not only think more carefully about every action but pay closer attention. I love the delay, it's very immersive and realistic because it's not like i can open-close a door and already have my gun aimed down the sight in a blink IRL anyways.
The door delay is another artificial roadblock that restricts the sandbox.

This is Rust we're talking about...
Its just plain annoying, sure people make airlocks, but the only people who doesnt make airlocks are the ones that need them the most, and those are new players trying to get on their feet, farming for your 1x1 on an active server without getting killed a couple of times can be hard enough, making it impossible for them to exit their home and close their door, faster than some bored guy with a bolt can snipe them outside the range of footsteps doesnt make it any easier. Later in the game its not really a problem though, i usually work around it by opening another door before closing the previous one to avoid waiting, and simply make up for it by adding another 3-4 airlocks if you even bother
