• Help on building a Rust community

Hi, Unbalanced servers and admin abuse lead me to rent my own server from FPSPlayers. I fired up the server last weekend and spent days perfecting the plugins and loot tables to create my vision for the current state of Rust. Problem is, I'm having a hell of a time recruiting people to play on the server. I've steadily posted to reddit and a few other sites, but the server population continues to run at ~2-10 players. So my question is, what worked for you? How did you build up your server? Did it ever happen? Is your server population stable, or does it require constant recruiting? There must be a tipping point we need to reach in order to keep new players. Right now we get a lot of newcomers, but they leave quickly when they see the low server population. Anybody have experience with how many players it takes to make new people want to stay on the server? And finally, I'm starting to see that I can't do this on my own, so if anyone would like to join me and co-manage the server please respond below or add me on steam (dnormous). Right now I'm thinking a group of 4-5 active admins would be super helpful. Admins will need to be mature, respectful people and absolutely no admin abuse is allowed (Don't even dream of spawning in items). Thanks for the feedback, and sorry for the giant block of text.
