I thought I might as well show you this.
Myths in Rust that are True or Debunked.

Good stuff. One more I'd like to add - metal walls have a "strong" side and a "weak" side - the "strong" is the side with bars on it, and it takes a minimum of 3 C4 to blow, even if they are all placed dead center. "Weak" is the side with metal siding, which takes a minimum of 2 C4 to blow. It's pretty counter-intuitive, given that in an actual structure, the exposed support beams would be weaker than the side with metal siding on it.
I've confirmed this one several times, including extended testing as admin. Wood walls, contrary to popular belief, do not seem to have a strong/weak side, or if they do it's to a low enough extent that 1 charge will blow them regardless of which side so long as it's placed in the center.
As for why wood walls randomly take 5-7 C4, even when placed dead center, your guess is as good as mine. Seems to be a random bug.
people still so retarded that they haven't figured out c4 yet ?

I will send this information to my friend as he does the series, but you might want to post it on the Youtube video so, he can see that as well.
good work

I'll pass the word to him.

I always thought C4 had a damage range, like 200 to 500 damage, and did damage at random inside those limits.
you need to learn how to put stuff in the Center of the wall. Also metals walls weak spot is just off the center to the right. So center of the wall up and to right just a little.
|xxxxxx|
|xxxxox| <--- Metal wall weak spot, as best can be described in ascii
|xxxxxx|
|xxxxxx|
But as many other people have tested, it can still be a little random depending on how the damage lands / spreads
Good work non the less! Thanks for taking the time

To be fair, there are more "new" players to the game every day, considering it's been the top seller on Steam for a while now. You expect brand new bambi's to know exactly how many c4 it takes and it's positioning right off the bat? Ya might wanna give them some time to read up on the wiki, or watch some videos before passing judgement.

The testing I have seen saw no difference on which side of the wall the c4 was placed and always took 2 c4 to destroy a newly placed metal wall.
Cool stuff...most of which never occurred to me to ask :)
Nice video!, take a look here

more stuff like that.
If a wood wall takes more than 2 c4 its because theres something behind it absorbing the damage. Stairs/ramp
I'd like to see a update since the last patch on the C4 walls on both sides for both metal and wood.... can you also include patch # or date in the video ?
Check also those-
Can you die by air drop?
The gravity bug happens with supply signal and flare too?
Ores get smelted faster with fuel?
What is that weird red barrel in the split rad town you can cock on
I loved it lol. Nice video

Nice tips! Can you do one about barricade stacking next? There seem to be rumours around that people are able to stack barricades left and right to climb everywhere, would be interesting to check out the possibilities.
Love this! Do more! p.s. I'm going to fix the c4 randomness now
This is actually not only good for the community, it's great for the developers as well apparently. Keep this up!
Yes, thanks for posting this. I learned a few things.
Any mythst that you guys have heard?
Nice and useful video! I never knew you could just hatchet a hut before.... I kept putting metal doors on them! O_O

Slapping the shelter with a pickaxe takes time, usualy too much time :) a wooden door takes WAY less time so keep placing metaldoors ;) as soon as i see a shelter with a wooden door i always destroy it. quick way for potentionally free stuff
nice work learned a couple things thank you :D
Great job. I learned some pretty important stuff. Keep doing these vids
I've heard that it's possible to be crushed to death if an airdrop crate lands on you. Never been brave enough to test this. Can anyone confirm or bust that?
Evolution13 I am not proud to admit this has happened to me :)
I thought I would pretty much stay in the shaddow of the airdrop till it lands not thinking it would kill me in the process :P
While on the airdrop subject if you ever experience the glitch where it lands but doesn't release it's parachute, I've found putting a box or baricade next to it usually shifts it a little and then you can access the drop :)
