• Placing mining quarries is driving me crazy

So, I found a wonderful spot for a mining quarry, but try as I might, I simply cannot place it. I can't see any good reason for the placement failure. I know mines have to be placed far enough away from buildings, and I it sure looks far enough to me. Can we reduce the sensitivity on placing mines a bit? I also tried placing another crater very nearby, but I get nothing, so I don't dare try and place the mine on those spots. I remember reading that once you make a crater, other craters placed nearby will show nothing. Is this true? Because if it is, you can come back after all the craters heal and try again on one of the null spots and get something. I don't think the inconsistency here serves a good purpose. Placing the mine is VERY iffy as it is--and the inconsistent survey charge results can just make the whole process completely maddening. Devs, please tighten this up.
Stand back from where you're trying to place the quarry. WAY back.
All right. Good advice. I thought I was far enough back, so I don't think that will work, but it may. I'll give it a try.
