My current computer specs are as follows; OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera @ 3.5GHz Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Memory: 8GB Motherboard: AMD 990FXA-UD3 When I run Rust, I get very poor FPS, around 25ish. It's playable, but definitely isn't smooth or very enjoyable, even with settings turned all the way down I get a very low FPS. Is it normal for my specs or not?
Antivirus disabled when playing? All antialiasing/anisotropic filtering etc set to disabled or application-controlled in the ATI settings? Does the FPS change much if you type render.level 0 or render.level 1 in the game's F1 console?

I'd say you need a better GPU, the 7770 is not very powerful for games these days

Some top notch games run superb with it, other now very gpu-intensive games just extort the maximum out of the card and get shitty performance. The card is cursed I'm telling ya.
How can i see the FPS? I have worse spec than you, but it all seemed more or less smooth.
easiest way it just to get the free version of fraps or something, and open it whilst playing. It shows the FPS in the top right corner, very easy to read
How can i see the FPS? I have worse spec than you, but it all seemed more or less smooth.
Go into the console (press F1) and type in "global.fpslog 5" (Shows the FPS every 5 seconds)

the fps is displaying in the console.
I have the exact same specs with a 9800Gtx+ and I can play fine for all you nubs who say his graphics card is too weak.
Guys, I found that going into the console and typing "grass.on false" will remove all the tall grass and it improved my FPS a lot.
