Hey! I cant open inventory or chat or console by pressing tab,enter or f1. I tried to restorge keyboard setting to default but it does not help. The only thing that works is w,a,s,d,space and mouse. How to fix that? p.s. Out of the game all these keys work well. [editline]6th December 2015[/editline] But everything works well when I run the dx9 mode.
I have the same... helped me reinstalling game (Remove remaining folder Rust on Steam)
I run the game in DX9 and still had the problem. This completely fixed the problem for me : In Steam library, right click on Rust > Properties > Beta > select stable-debug from the pulldown menu.

Invalid file is (steamapps-> common-> Rust-> cfg-> keys_default.cfg) Edit file keys_default.cfg and paste it: [CODE] unbindall bind f1 +consoletoggle bind f7 +bugreporter bind w +forward bind s +backward bind a +left bind d +right bind mouse0 +attack bind mouse1 +attack2 bind mouse2 +attack3 bind 1 +slot1 bind 2 +slot2 bind 3 +slot3 bind 4 +slot4 bind 5 +slot5 bind 6 +slot6 bind 7 +slot7 bind 8 +slot8 bind leftshift +sprint bind rightshift +sprint bind leftalt +altlook bind r +reload bind space +jump bind leftcontrol +duck bind e +use bind v +voice bind g +map bind t +chat.open bind return +chat.open bind mousewheeldown +invnext bind mousewheelup +invprev bind tab +inventory.toggle [/CODE] Edit There is no pluses(+) at (and this results in an error) [CODE] bind f1 consoletoggle bind f7 bugreporter ........ bind t chat.open bind return chat.open ......... bind tab inventory.toggle [/CODE]
try to install new drivers for video card. this helped my friend.
This problem should be fixed NOW. [editline]10th December 2015[/editline] BTW _ my fix is adding + (pluses) to all the commands in the keys.cfg file that does not have pluses. The reverse of what Antares3 suggested, but it worked for me and is a lot more logical. [editline]10th December 2015[/editline] Well, it did not work properly.
