[B]Hello Everyone and hopefully devs! I have bought a new rust server a couple of days ago and it is all set up and ready to use. But one problem, I can't log into RCON. I have tried the old way (rcon.login) but it doesn't work anymore. And I've also tried Rusty, and other RCON login programs and none of them seem to let me connect to my server. I've already asked my server provider but he has just said that they need to update the server systems (whatever that means) because they've fucked it up. I have been waiting for a bug fix update for a while now and it hasn't come yet so I've decided to make this thread and hopefully I will get help from people who have experienced this same situation. Or even better, Developers of rust.[/B]

Are you trying to connect to RCON not from the computer it is running on? I've noticed that remote connections to Rust RCON have not been working.

I've noticed a lot of people seem to think this. Use 'rcon.ip externalip' to allow rcon connections from everyone instead of localhost, as I already answered todat @ [url]http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1433527&p=46341412&viewfull=1#post46341412[/url]

Ah I did not know this, thanks for clarifying.
Your GSP obviously did not setup their command line properly.
Make sure it has rcon port, rcon ip and rcon password in it.
