I'm really tired of door keys in rust, and the locks in general. There is a period in which you have to have a lock, yet you do not have a code lock. I wandering if there is any tips to the lock. I end up gathering materials to make a code lock but i just end up getting killed. I don't venture to far from my house either, so they usually end up guessing which house it is. If I go farther I then can almost never find my house because I don't know the new maps well enough. I don't understand why rust is doing this new system of locking your house when the old system was fine. What is the point of this new lock system and can someone give me some tips(besides calling me a noob, cuz i know i'm still new to rust)?
build a wooden lock, put it on a door and make two keys and put a few hundred wood in a small box with a spare key.
when you die loot the key and the wood from the box (which is adjacent to your sleeping bag). Make a new spare key and put it and the wood back in the box and go out farming with only your one key.
If you think your key is compromised simply remove the lock from the door and reinstall it, this will essentially change the key. Dont forget to make a new spare when you do this.

If you're dieing alot consider two bags to get around the timer.
