Solution/Consistency to the bug where doors do not unlock/lock

I am posting this thread here for visibility. I have already gone over to the official bug reporting website to post this in the appropriate thread concerning this bug, which can be found here: [URL="http://support.facepunchstudios.com/feedback/view/620-doors-wont-open-unlock"]http://support.facepunchstudios.com/feedback/view/620-doors-wont-open-unlock[/URL]

Hopefully this will help the dev's pinpoint the issue to fix this annoying bug. In the meantime though, I am posting it in the general forums as well for people frustrated by this bug and how to work around it. I have not discovered what actually originates the bug in the first place yet but if/when I do, I will further update with this information to help the devs as much as possible. At the least, you should be able to consistently open your doors in the meantime using this work around.
