Title says it all, wanna get first dibs on some stupid rock that cant be raided
Whenever the patch goes out and the server you play on updates to it. The patch goes out when it's ready. Watch Steam for a Rust client update.
I get asked this all the time on my server.. 'Let me check my crystal ball' is usually the answer I resort to.
Title says it all, wanna get first dibs on some stupid rock that cant be raided
Your rock can be raided. I should really upload a bunch of videos of me raiding very tall and upgraded buildings on rocks... also raiding bases inside of rocks.
Now that you've had all the "stock" responses, let me answer your actual question... Historically, the updates usually drop shortly after 8pm UK time, which is around 3pm Eastern time, 12pm Pacific time, or 9pm Central Europe time. If your server is set to auto-update, (which most of them are), then it should update update straight away, otherwise you may have to wait for an admin to restart the server.
We (UK) switched to British Summer Time last weekend (clocks went forward an hour) so may happen a bit earlier for you guys in the colonies.
No force wipe today. From Rutafied: 10:35am EST - Patience. Today, we must practice it because unfortunately, there will be no update. Long and short, the development branch hasn’t been tested enough to go into the wild yet. Yesterday, the terrain improvements branch was merged into main. Since then, the development builds have been pretty fucked. The team is working hard on fixing them, however, it’s not going to be done in time for an update today. The update is now expected to hit sometime early next week.
I just rushed home from work to get prepped to wipe my server and... bollocks.

I think that since there will be no force wipe due to a patch... it will only depend on server owner to do a wipe or not. Since they will be force to wipe again in the beginning of next week, it will be stupid to wipe now if you do not have to absolutely need to do it for performance reason.
