PLZ explain how "visible inventory" would work for newspawns?!!

**FINAL EDIT**
If everything in your inventory is visible would you spawn with a pouch for the rock and torch? I think having everything visible would create quite an imbalance.
getting ran down whenever you have any loot (cars too) VS a player who pulls a shotgun out of his ass...
It would break the game anyways because people can see your naked and have a gun...

The entire point is to make sure people know you're armed or carrying valuables. It lets them make educated decisions on how to handle you, instead of always taking the safer option - kill him, he might be able to kill me. If you think this "breaks the game," you may want to reevaluate your idea of how the game works. Or would you miss fucking over that one nice person in any given hundred who doesn't shoot you on sight that much?

We already have decision-making... armor and the gun hes pointing at your face. I think this idea will create an unbalance thats super unfair because its like wallhacks.

People will use it for KOS cuz he's got some stuff
only show the items equipped in the armour slots and in the hotslots. armour/clothes are already shown on the player model, and guns etc that can be quickly equipped to would need to be easily accessible on the player. also, being able to tell if a player has a weapon isn't game breaking; quite the opposite. being able to pull a fully automatic weapon out of your ass with a single keystroke is gamebreaking, and leads to everyone KOS'ing for their own safety. at least if you can see the player has a gun you have justification for shooting them. and at least if you aren't suspected of having an ak up your ass, you might not be KOS'd when you first spawn on the server and are looking for some stone.
smaller guns would be less visible on the player model due to size. aks and bolts would be strapped to the players back and incredibly obvious. as for stone etc, there is no reason to show the inventory itself; just have a "accessing inventory" animation play anytime a player goes into their inventory. or introduce tiered backpacks that increase your inventory space, but need to be equipped to a clothing slot (and thus show on the player model). a player hauling around the biggest backpack is probably worth looting; one without any backpack is probably too poor to bother with.

I was thinking it might lead to griefing... it's like a two way street I suppose because of someone wants to come over to you and kill you you also have the advantage to know if they have guns. Yeah the way you explained it could work its just the griefing element.
*id settle for main weapons and backpack only tho.
I'm sure people already kill the nakeds to know what they have in their inv :/
lets get this discussion going boys! FOR SCIENCE :godzing::godzing: lol
lemons;)

We already have KOS as it is. I've rarely seen another player that didn't KOS if they see anyone. I run around nude all the time...doesn't stop anyone from trying to kill me. I always have a slew of weapons in my buttcrack too.

problem fixed. Im just gonna find some blueprints. lol
if a naked approaches me i tend to kill them always. 5/10 Nakeds will Pull somekinda shit which will be able to hurt or even Kill you.
The game made me like that because everynaked can pull a AK out of his ass, even back in Legacy nakeds with shotguns.
If im able to see that player x has a weapon, i will kill him if not i might just ignore him, this could atleast lead to an Focused KOS, it wouldnt be that random like it is atm.
I guess the Visibility of loot would be an huge step in the right way.

People who want to kill you regardless of your loot will do it anyway, and people who will kill you for a chance at getting your BPfrags or stone will also do it anyway. Hell, if they saw you had a gun, they might even think twice about it.
I really hate when people shoot down really good ideas by saying something like "but one guy might act differently because of it." With this kind of mentality nothing good would ever come to the game, we'd just be constantly trying to control the 'griefing problem' that has nothing to do with features in the game.
Wasn't this being discussed a million times before? I think I remember that garry said somewhere that they want this at some point, maybe it was on https://ask.fm/garryjnewman
