• Is making faces proc-gen possible?

I noticed the work in the recent devblog about the different faces being made, and I got to thinking that it would probably be a lot easier and effective to design a system that procedurally generates a face. Not like when you roll random for appearance and it just picks premade stuff, but a system where you tell it what the min and max values for facial properties are (withing reason) and it generates something with random values. Then you have far more possibilities than if you had 1 modeler/animator making each one by hand. I assume it would only take working out the odd results and outliers to make it an effective system. Is a system like this at all feasable? I did a little bit of googling and the idea is out there but I don't see any reliable results. First guy to make this get rich I guess, eh?
I really like this idea.
My guess would be that sure it's possible, but building a procedural generator for faces was deemed a bigger job than just modelling individual faces would be, so the later was chosen for development speed and simplicity.
