My game is with 20-30 fps, I tried everything to change video cards on the NVIDIA control panel, change the shim option in nvidia inspector , seriously tried everything I formatted my computer and got 50-60 fps in medium , has now fallen far must be because I installed directx 11 of which had already installed DirectX 9
my computer:
four processors intel core i7-4510u 2.00 ghz, graphic cards intel hd graphics family and a nvdia geforce 840m,8 gb of ram memory,800 gb hd...
this computer runs csgo with 60 fps in ultra, crysis in ultra with 30-40 fps, dayz in medium with 30-40 fps theres a problem here!!!
please help me :(
The issue isn't on your end.
Crysis and csgo are completed and well optimized games.
Rust is a game in developement, optimizing isn't priority for a game that still gets alot worked on.
also, the updated minimum specs are basically what you (and i) have. 2.0ghz is not much cpu power, 8gb ram is the minimum and the 840m is not particularly strong either.
i have a similar build. tf2 and the like have good fps, but rust struggles. more ram may help (if your laptop can actually use it) but your best options are to run it at minimum acceptable graphics, and wait out optimization.
Hey well at least you have good frames. My best has been at 20 in the past but its always on 10 fps most of the time.
Yea new cpu time

Make sure Rust runs on your better card.
Hey don't feel too bad. I have a bad ass computer that at best will average 40fps on the Facepunch Washington Server. When I say bad ass I mean probably better than nearly if not everyone playing.
Just 40...
nvidia control panel sometimes uses the HD graphics instead.
disable the the Intel.
First you make it sound like a technical issue?
if you only run csgo on 60 max you can't play fallout 4 either so go bitch to Bethesda.
questions like these just make it obvious that you dont pay attention.

wow, way to be an asshole. just a reminder, unity + nvidia cards are not always a simple issue; unity likes to ignore them in favour of the shitty intel hd chip more times than not.
1) use a smaller resolution
2) don't go balls deep with evey single graphical setting
3) wait another year
4) profit

This dude must be a bit special! My rig i5 6500, Radeon r9 380 4gb and 8gb ram runs rust on beautiful averaging between 70-90 fps only ones have I seen it dip to 57fps.
