from my last conversation with EAC, it was noted that they are aware of the fly hack and speed hack in the game. they are still trying to figure out if they are actually hacking the game, or running a secondary program to do this. i'm sure garry knows this as well and is probably trying to find a fix.
so just keep in mind to try your best to ignore them. or like me, kill them as often as you can. try to not let them ruin your gaming experience.
no. If youre like majority of people that played on an official server, you probably had your experience ruined by hackers. since Facepunch abandonned those servers, your only option is to try to find a community server that :
1. have population
2. have an active admin that do the police and ban hackers
3. is reliable in the sense that the admin will update the server every week, and will reboot it if it crash
4. the admin are not cunts and dont give themselves 100x C4 and blow any houses in their way
Out of my 11 weeks of playing rust, i only found a reliable server 5 weeks ago. the first 7 weeks have been frustrating server hopping, being deceived every time when i learned that the admin was a liar or when the server simply disappeared cause the admin just stop updating it. with the current blueprint system, it sucks to change server when you invested so much time.
What about the dev server? Do those have active admins? I mean I was playing for almost a week before I seen an obvious hacker
Try the Rustopia │US│ server, it's the top US community server for a reason and it's also non-modded. Multiple active admins who admin far more than they actually play. Plus the monthly blueprint wipe is tomorrow, so you will be on the same playing field as the rest of us.

The development branch updates quickly enough that it's usually difficult for hacks to stay compatible unless the element of the game they're exploiting doesn't get touched for a while.
It would be nice to have someone trusted to be an admin on an Official server, but I don't feel that it's a huge problem right now. Of course that's only from my perspective, others may have had different experiences.
Last night on Seattle I did see a naked guy super jumping around my house, and onto the roof (always keep your roof sealed!). He actually had the nerve to jump around and pester us for a gun, lol.

depends on what you do to the hacker frank. i'm on seattle and this is what happened when i pissed him off.

the ending is hilarious. but yeah if he keeps no life-ing me it can cause some problems in game play.
These insubordinates need to stop acting like CLOWNs though really. It's pretty simpl3e to play by the rules. But if anyone on the server needs help just ask and I'll be there in a flash. Maybe together we can chop em up and blacken their human flesh, nice and crispy.
And although I'm not allowed to say names and stuff on forums, you can pm me in game and I'll let you know who to be careful around!

Not the same guy I saw (unless he used a different name), but definitely the same hack. The one I saw left after we told him to piss off.

yeah i know of a few others. the best course of action is to isolate these people. don't become their friends because your 'scared' of them or think it's 'cool' to use exploits. i know many people are doing this. that selfish mentality causes problems.

This makes me think of an interesting play mechanic. When you kill someone you get their skull with their name in the description. Basically when you click the skull it would say "Vynel's Skull" in the description.
Then we could wanted signs up with rewards for people's skulls. Okay, I'm going to start a thread for this one!
