So I was thinking of a cool app for smart phones and tablets that would let you log into a rust server from your smart phone and allow you to use the global chat on your server and also would allow you to spectate your friends, the spectate would work like admin except you would need to send a spectate request to who you want to watch and that person can either accept the request or decline it, those would be the only 2 things you can do from the app but it would allow groups to work together even if not everyone is logged into the game, what do you all think??
I know this would not be a priority since there is a lot of gameplay stuff still to do but would be cool for them to think about adding in the future.

Look for Rusty Sheriff - Rust RCON Tool on the Google Play store for an Android app that lets you control your server; talk using ingame chat, etc.
There's no ability to remote view a player, but it may be possible to have a PC app that'll send over screen shots to the phone from a PC logged in to the Rust server. On Rust 2.0, screens of spectate mode could be sent and audio captured and transmitted too. If there's any reasonable interest in this, I'll put something together, and add it to my app.
What I would rather see is an app that monitors your base, and alerts you of any damage, (anything from someone banging on the door with a rock, to blowing out your walls with c4).
The main thing I want to know what I am AFK is, is my base alright? Did I get raided? Is my security compromised?
Dunno quite how that would work with a phone app, but that is the alerts I would really like to get...
