• How to completely disable BLOOM effect?

Is it only me or is there anyone else who thinks that bloom effect is annoying in every game where they implement it? I am looking for any console command or cfg command how to turn it off COMPLETELY. I HATE IT!:( Thanks
It is a part of the game. In rust, everyone needs to be on a level playing field (hardware permitting). A feature to turn off bloom would open the door to a feature to turn off grass. after that, why not have a night vision command? it is supposed to be hard to see sometimes.

People who don't have it seem to think others are complaining about nothing.
If you're using a Mac, use bootcamp so you can play the Windows client. Problem solved.

Clearly there is an unintended side effect of this bloom that's making it difficult for players to enjoy the game. I think it would be best if Facepunch implemented a way to fully disable it or at least found a solution to the "bright spots" problem. I have a place in the artic and the bloom effect is making the snow so bright its almost like snow blindness. There's technically already an option to disable the effect but the bloom still remains when its unchecked. Even on Windows machines. So clearly something needs to be tweaked or fixed here.

Bloom suppose to make the game look better even when for some people it looks much worse. For example when I was playing ANNO series I really hated this bloom effect I just couldn't play the game without turning it off. Bloom is just effect to make the game look better but night is gameplay mechanic so I wouldn't compare it Bloom is just irritating effect and I don't really think it makes the game better looking anyway
The game feels to hazy and I suspect it's probably bloom. I've been in desert areas that are almost as bad as staring at the water with a full reflection of the sun. Real life has haze in the environment but this is quite overboard. And yes, even with it unchecked. Part of the problem is that these effects are static but in real life our pupils dilate and adjust to environmental lighting so even if you go from dead sun to shady forest, in rust it can sometimes be impossible to see but in real life our eyes would adjust in seconds.
