• Some ideas for new items

Many players suggest high-level items for those people having everything already. Like M16 weapons or Kevlar. But whats about new players? Many Items for newbies are worthless for high-end player. I got some Ideas, whats usefull for both. 1. Flaregun At no doubt, droping a flare to bring up attention has high potential to bring a new level of gameplay. We don't need a new gun, the EOKA should do this job pretty well and wouldn't be useless for highEQ players anymore. Flare ammo could be crafted just like the normal eoka ammo, but needs also an additional mineral. In real world, the mineral used for signal flares is Realgar( As4S4 ), which contains sulfur and this should be found in low quantitys in sulfur stones, or be crafted with very low effectiveness from sulfurore (like 100sulfurore for 5 realgar, while you need 25 realgar for a flare). What would you, as a player, do, when you see a 50meter high orange smoke column? Well, some players will avoid this area. The'll think it's dangerouse there, because it attracts people. And yes, they're right. Question is, who could have been shooting this flare? Case #1: A low equiped player. As a lowie with bow and Eoka, you have a tough life, defending yourself against AKs and Bolts. However, flares could be used as an superior defense weapon. Hard to aim, but they will explode a few seconds after they left the barrel. So shooting nearby strong equiped might deal hazard to them without getting to close (CQB with eoka vs ak is suicide), also it tells your lowiemates, where the evil highEQ guy is. Case #2: Finding each other. Who has never been in the situation, that the friends are 100meters ahead, and you're having hard times catching up. You have to annoy them, where they are and if you don't know the area, finding them might be even harder. Case #3: Rushing a base. Sometimes you manage to blow out the first wall of a base, just to find the bases owner camping in each corner. You could throw granades or use RPGs, but both are very expensive and could break the chests very easy. Shooting a flare inside the base would have two benefits at one. 1) a little damage to the camper, might be less dangerouse to rush. 2) the extreme bright light of a flare makes it hard to see if someone get's in the basement and thus the camper have to rethink their strategy. 2.Camo net New players doing very hard, surviving the first night(offline) if they spawned in an area with high aggressive players. For the aggressive landlords, it's easy to find new bases and raid them quickly. However, a camo net (needs 100wood 500 cloths) could be used as a low profile tent. Doesn't provide much defense due it could be breaken easily with any tool, but makes it more easy to stay hidden. Also, the camo net could be attached to any wall, to makes a basement less visible from high range, if it's between trees. Camo net at window-walls make it harder to notice that someone is looking at you through the window, also, looking through gets harder. Further, the prior mentioned camo tent could be used to cover 1-2 chests as raiding outpost. So raiders wont have to set up a whole base, if they like to take the risk of somebody loot the chests when finding them. 3.(melee) taser A melee taser could be used to knockout people which could be implementet with the wake-up functionality after loggin in. Whenever a player gets tased, he falls down, and the "waking up" procedure begins, so basicly the guy is trying to stand up after ~500ms or so. However, to prevent gruel abuse, after use, tasers sould have a cooldown of >20secs or so. Taser could be crafted from metalfragments and wood(isolation), clothes(binding). To work, a taser needs batteries, which get empty after been used 20 times or so. So far, tasers are usefull for lowEQ players, but which use have highEQ players? Well, there could be also other usages: Tasers could be attached to codelocks. You already made codelocks give you a little shock when you inserted a wrong code. This should not be per default, but if you attached a taser. Also, you could attach a taser to metal/armored walls/windows/doors. If someone tryes to break them down, they get a little shock with every hit. The trigger for c4 is voltage. So setting c4 at such a voltage-wall, makes it blow up immediately, dealing high damage to potential raiders, if not killing them. Metal armor should increase received damage from voltage. I think these are Ideas which shouln't take too much effort to implement, due required mechanics are already in the game. However, this are just concepts, if anyone can bring up Ideas how to improve this, i would be greateful.
no taser would not be fun
Not helpfull. Could you mention WHY it would not be fun?
Cool idea, but I think the reason they added the shock on wrong code is because there are videos of people using brute force password trier scripts to try and get people's door codes. The electric shock straight away made this unworkable. I think it was a brilliant solution to the problem.
i agree with the flare gun not sure how i feel about the other 2.
