I wont probably say anything new, but if there's anything i'd like is that the message is deliver to Rust team.
Whilst i really like how much the game keeps growing every weak, i'd like to play a game which works fine. The game is horribly optimized... despite all of us loving to recieve new content i strongly believe its much more important to make the ACTUAL content WORK PROPERLY. I know they have been working on improving the performance.. but the truth is i personaly see no improvements. Before i get harrassed with comments about my pc, ill say my pc aint the problem. i7, 8gb ram, hd radeon 7700, etc.
Still the game goes like shit.
If i had to ask something i want from Rust is make it run smooth rather than keep addding new content which many of us wont probably enjoy with the game running like shit.
Thanks for reading.
Ill leave a poll here, dont really know how to insert it.
Choose between performance and new content.

And there we go again ... ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA ALPHA

You could still have an alpha with better FPS. Thats no excuse sir, im not asking for a finished product but a rather smoothy enjoyable alpha.
Unfortunately it is an excuse, sorry. 20 ~ 30 FPS is more than sufficient to test a alpha game

An alpha isnt technically a "test". There's pre alpha for that. Current stage is a non finished PLAYABLE game.

Um, that is exactly what it is...
Pre-alpha refers to all activities performed during the software project before testing.
The alpha phase of the release life cycle is the first phase to begin software testing.
It is not? Ok, I'll leave you to your world of imagination. Playable is for testing
Improving performance is one of the last things a developer should do.
Technically alpha is a testing phase.A game in alpha should by no means be playable. But for some reason, games / game devs have adopted alpha as the new beta.
Look at it this way.
Most of the features have been implemented. You can build, craft, harvest, you have Radtowns, animals, armor, explosives, day and night cycle, weather... Most of the stuff is already here. They will keep implementing some stuff every week/month, but the core is in the game. I think they are going to make performance one of their priorities in a few weeks. Just let them put as much stuff as they can first :)
Most of the features have been implemented.
No they haven't.
Thank you for your compelling argument, I can't say anything against it.

Of course there will be things to be tested during alpha, see how they impact and whats the reaction but i meant that once the games comes in alpha there are basic things you expect them to work. Even devs usually say that users shouldnt expect eveything to work correctly, to expect bugs, etc. But thats kind of reasonable. Whats not reasonable for me is that a game has a bunch of time STILL in alpha without running smoothly even though it may still have bugs, non full content or whatever. You have paid real money for a product and that gives you the right to ask for what you deserve.
You have paid real money for a product and that gives you the right to ask for what you deserve.
you have paid money for access to a game while it is in development. it is implied you will get to affect the development process, but no guarantee is made on how much say you get. you are getting what you paid for, and it wasn't shares in their company, or creative control over the game.
I was playing Rust last 4 months on i5 5690, gigabyte gtx 770 4GB, 8 GB ram and Samsung 840 Pro SSD and my only huge fps drop was when I destroyed huge twig tower..Everything maxed...never less than 50 fps.. I never had issue with RUST on my machine..weird..
Maybe some problems in rust are related to AMD cards

I got AMD A8-3870 cpu, not overclocked HD7870 and 8mb ram, running between 40-60 fps on official dev procedural map server. Absolutely playable.
