• Ban Appeal

I'm posting this on behalf of my mother. Her steam name is Ressa and here is the link to her profile. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198300750723 She honestly wouldn't know how to hack even if you told her. She was banned on the 4th and I sent an email to both Facepunch and EAC. She was unbanned and able to play yesterday, but then she was banned again hours later. She said she has done a virus scan and it found nothing. Is there any way to find out what's causing the issue? Edit: Copied the profile number wrong
ur mother? ok gonna post ban appeal for my cat. no shit
ur mother? ok gonna post ban appeal for my cat. no shit
Yes, she's 60.
Damn, the profile cannot be found. What a surprise.
Damn, the profile cannot be found. What a surprise.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I fixed it
Strange that that account and this one share the same creation date and only own Rust, and this mutual one-game wonderfriend's even more recent and shares the same name as a private-profiled friend. Are we going to get a ban appeal from your dog soon? Strange, but not proof. Hang tight for a response from EAC. They may respond shortly, or it may be a couple days.
Yep, that's my dad. They both made their accounts and started playing on the same day. And that friend is an admin of the server they play on. You guys can doubt it or be dicks about it all you want, but its the truth. I'm just trying to get her some help with her account and get her back to playing. They really enjoy the game.
If somebody tried to use cheats on a family shared copy of rust, the original copy it came from and any associated copies from that original all get banned for piggybacking. As always, you'll have to wait for an EAC dev to look into this one.
I think you'll find that the only reason people in this forum may be dicks about it is because we've seen this exact thread over a thousand actual times. Well, not this exact thread, but plenty of threads on behalf of or blaming family members. Only EAC or the Rust devs know for sure so hold on tight. If I had access to the ban database I'd review it myself instead of faffing about, but I don't.
Are you sure it wasn't you :)
[del]I'm pretty sure the thread OP said "grandmother" and suddenly it changed to "mother" when I found TacoTuesday. How strange.[/del] Not that such things will fool EAC detections.
I'm pretty sure the thread OP said "grandmother" and suddenly it changed to "mother" when I found TacoTuesday. How strange. Not that such things will fool EAC detections.
Weird, because the first reply, before you entered the thread, says mother.
That's true. I've seen so many of these that I kind of skim over them. At any rate, it really doesn't matter who the profile belongs to. EAC either did or did not catch them in the act of cheating, and that detection data's what really matters.
whole new meaning to family share. i can't picture a 60year old woman playing a game where you bash people with rocks. but i guess it's beside the point; EAC will advise if it is a legit detection, and that will be it.

Yeah. She mainly just gathers and cooks food for everyone.
Haha. Yeah. She mainly just gathers and cooks food for everyone.
ahh. to escape her dreary life of cooking for everyone, she goes online and COOKS FOR EVERYONE ;)
This is probably the best EAC ban appeal yet, looking forward to see how this ends.
