Hi guys, Ok so I've been playing Garrys Mod for a few years and this error never happened but now for some reason it starts giving me this error. failed to lock vertex buffer in cmeshdx8 lockvertexbuffer: nvertexcount=4,nfirstvertex=0 Thanks in advance and please reply if you had this error.
It's related to a new Source engine update. What are your specs?
Processor: Intel(R) Core(tm) I5-3570K cPU @ 3.40 GHz RAM: 8 GBs Windows 7 Driver: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Thats all i know atm
It's not a specifications issue, you seem to have a pretty nice setup. You need to tell me everything leading up to the event, what you were doing, any mods, maps, anything different from vanilla, right down to resolution and whether you were windowed or not. Try to recreate the situation precisely.
Well i joined a server called Gmod tower and it had a updater which adds some addons after i played for about three days i used the updater and it updated then the problem started happening.
I'm not familiar with Gmod Tower, so I don't know how you did the updater. If it was a .exe or something, that's kind of dangerous, if it was ingame, then just clean out your garrysmod folder and restart the game.
It was a .exe so i think i probalay reinstall
It was a .exe so i think i probalay reinstall
It's usually not safe to install random .exe's, since there's really no reason to have a .exe for Gmod addons. A .exe would be more prone to handle computer files outside of the garrysmod/ folder, and I don't know where you got it from, or whether it's official and safe, but I would recommend you not be an idiot like that again unless you like viruses.
