Just got an update, when I open up gmod it just closes right away. Doesn't even launch.

It appears to have been a Engine update... You know what I think? I think VALVe should keep their engine updates to their games, and Garry's to his.
Fear not, once GM13 is out we won't have to suffer these annoying updates that break Garrys Mod.

GM13 is already out... And I am having the same problems as you guys are only the thing is with me, I'm on a mac? :/ Usually the errors seem to occur on just one OS :S

As I said, it was an engine update, it affects any platform that the engine is for. Right?

Aye, well people didn't get my sarcasm on that point.
I believe GMOD still runs from the branch, Garry just said it was a lot less likely. Although if I remember all the updates that broke GM12 also broke the GM13 beta so I wasn't really believing his point on that one.
I hope this is an easy fix tomorrow though, as no gmod for christmas would suck. Would also suck for Garry to have it down during the next sale.

Yeah, mayans predicted that once there would be a Source Engine update that Garry would be unable to fix. That's it, no end of the world, just end of gmod.

They found another calender, also WHERE DID THE REAL MAYANS SAY THE WORLD WILL END AT THE END OF THIS CALENDER? Sorry for caps, I just hate these "end of world" theories that don't end no matter how much proof is shoved in their face, but don't be surprised when you wake up tomorrow.
