Garry's Mod Crash to Desktop on start

Sorry if this has already been asked, but when I launch the game, I get a blue loading screen then a crash to desktop with an error message that says:

Steam Error: No SteamUser

-Try to make sure steam is up to date
-Try restarting your PC
-Try deleting local content

I tried all three of the above, once just deleting local content, and once doing a completely clean install (deleted the garrysmod folder), but it still gives me the same thing. Help please?

EDIT: Jesus fuck reinstalled my 5th time and it worked.
