Dedicated Server doesn't run Deathrun

So I just got my Dedicated server working for Gmod 13 but I can't seem to run the Deathrun gamemode.
It's just a server for some friends so I just got this gamemode [url]http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=133166[/url]
Now when I start the server it just executes the gamemode fine. (except for the lua error 'cl_init' but I just removed that for init.lua)
But when I join it doesn't change anything. It looks just like normal sandbox to me.

Does it need extra mods or something? I already have ULX and Ulib.

what about linux? Ive tried putting sv_defaultgamemode in my sever.cfg, autoexec.cfg and in the start up but it keeps on saying unknown command "sv_defaultgamemode". Please help will be very much appreciated!
