Horrible lag in singleplayer, great FPS on multiplayer custom gamemodes.

I have a huge FPS drop when playing on a singleplayer game, and a great FPS on multiplayer Clockwork, DarkRP, etc. The more I use my mouse or keyboard the more it lags. If anyone could help me with this, that would be great. I've got an ATI Radeon 3000 graphics card, tri-core PC. Help?

Theres part of your problem.

Also, tri-core or single core there is no difference as source can only optimize one core (afaik)

I have the same problem even though exceed requirements. The reason I do is because objects and NPC's that are placed on maps you download can't be removed permanently and when you reload a save, they all re-appear and get duplicated many times over. Garry is in no rush to fix it. I don't know if that's what's slowing you down, but, I recently loaded a save and watched the same object I removed respawn and duplicate about 20 times.

Garry says to remove objects to increase your FPS, but currently it's impossible on maps with objects and NPC's.
