Why are the most active threads here are always when Gmod breaks down?
I remember Valve updating Source in December 2010. It broke GMod and showed that error until Garry fixed it. Could you post a link to your Steam account so we can make sure that you own GMod legitly?
edit: welp, it looks like it's happening again. Wait for Garry to send a fix.
It's a source update, all the other source games updated aswell. I have the same error by the way

This happened a while ago, the same thing. It took about a day or 2 for Garry to fix it. So just don't sit there expecting for it to be fixed within an hour or something because it will be a waste of time, just check every few hours.
Edit: I just seen that Garry said it will be in about a half hour so never mind about it taking a while, Just be patient and watch TV or something.

Its been a half an hour, and its still not fixed yet.
wow this exact same problem occured 2 months ago... want to blame valve but garrysmod is not there responsbility, even though it should be. i dont freak out when gmod breaks because honestly- who is supprised- this happens like once a month. garry is probubly working on it as we speak. hes never let us down before. (besides breaking addons lol)

Yeah but Garry must send the files to Valve which will then take maybe a day or so to get it (different time zones i believe). Then it will be available for us to play after it updates.

Actually it's more in the region of 3-5 hours.
