Its been more than a year that im having that problem, every time i try to play gmod, even online or singleplayer it just crashes and closes without showing any errors.
I have tried everything till i give up, but that week i have buyed new components for my pc (motherboard, cpu, ram and powercore) and i have tried again, but it still happening...
I have speaked several times with steam support (any solutions they just say that they cant give direct support) and sended some emails to the gmod support email (theyhave never answered).
I just dont know what to do...
Pc Specs:
- Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX3
- CPU: AMD FX Series FX-4130 3.8Ghz 4X
- Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
- RAM: 4gb (2x2gb)
-SO: Windows XP SP3
OS? Licensed? All drivers up to date? TF2 works? PC Specs?
Updated with the info ^^
I have a fx series cpu, it apperently has some issues with games, but BIOS updates fix them. Update your BIOS to the latest version (be careful). It fixed my issues on a lot of games. also, thats a pretty up to date system to be running with windows xp, it could be an issue there. you could possibly try installing ubuntu, see if it works there

Ubuntu might give him even more problems if he's unfamiliar with Linux, better just get Windows 7.

Thanks for the help :D
1. Go here and click on Driver & Tools. Select your OS version (WinXP or WinXP 64-bit depending on what architecture you have)
2. Download the driver at the top of the BIOS pane.
3. Mount the file onto a bootable USB stick or burn it to a CD.
4. Insert the USB/CD into the PC and reboot your computer. Spam the boot options key (F11 or something similar).
5. Run through the setup.
6. Done.
