Startup CTD -> Could not get client.dll interface from library client - Help

So I went to start up GMod a few minutes ago, and it began an update; I checked the update news for it and none has been listed since the "1 Million Sales" post. It took an unusually long time to start, then it flashed the load screen for an instant followed by a CTD with this: [IMG]http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/8909/gmodupdatectd13oct2011.png[/IMG] I'm assuming this could've been another TF2 update, but it worked a few hours ago, and I've changed nothing since then. If anyone could offer a possible solution as to what could've possibly gone wrong, that would be grand. Thanks in advance. Edit: GMod just updated again, I'll see if there's a change. Negative, same error. Thanks Valve for informing Garry beforehand; oh well, just wait it out I guess.

My server seems fine.... But it will not update for some odd reason. Everything I can see without connecting to it looks ok... Maybe that will help someone?

Jesus this is fucking annoying. First my favorite servers get DDoS'ed out the asshole, now gmod is just broken. ffs.

Happens all the time, you get used to it.

Another major source engine update, another wrench Gabe throws into Gmod for Garry to fix.

Not the first time and certainly not the last (Unless you can force steam to never update the core games Gmod depends on). To be on the safe side. I've forced HL2:DM, CS:S, DoD:S, and TF2 to never update.

I saw this problem in L4D long ago.

Maybe it would work again if you deinstall everything except GMod and HL2? I'm going to restore older versions of the files out of a backup and report you if I can play again =D First post btw! Edit: OK... no backup... It's funny... I always tell other people to make backups because it is important and stuff... And what is now? I have an empty USB HDD ready for store my Time Machine backups... Edit2: Rename doesn't work!

Great. The first time I want to play GMOD to actually build instead of pose since 2 months ago. There seems to be a lot of people viewing this thread so I assume a lot of people are having the same problem. Also, I noticed that at first it wouldn't load GMOD at all and I noticed steam was downloading (updating) TF2. Then it was having this error.

Gabe Sat on Garrys mod again.....

This sucks,i just downloaded everything required to run space build :(. Valve you need to inform everyone that you are going to crew Gmod up so that we know when we come home we won't relax and play a ever extensive game.
