I've been having this problem the past few weeks and it really annoys me because I cannot play the game.
When I start the game on a map like say flatgrass the game loads and when it loads the screen freezes on loading.
I can hear when I switch my weapons and shoot I can also see my mouse when I press ESC but all I see is the big G and the rotating emote.
Sometimes it happens after I mount Left 4 Dead 2. So I unmounted it but it still happens, I tried reinstalling, unmounting all games, verifying cache but
nothing worked. It's keeping me from playing the game and it's really bugging me.
Bump. Any ideas? Anything that may help.
