• Gmod crashing when trying to connect to a heavy server.
    3 replies, posted
When i try to join a server, everything goes well, but then loading stops at some point and crashes. What should I do? I've got 6 gb ram. My graphics card drivers are up to date, I've tried reinstalling gmod, uninstalling all addons, nothing works. Sometimes "failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::LockVertexBuffer" message pops up, <-------- This most often sometimes "Failed to lock index buffer in CMeshDX8::LockIndexBuffer", "lua panic something went horribly wrong not enough memory" and sometimes nothing. I've googled every case and nothing worked. Help? It also stops often on maps/graphs/(map).ain and then crash occurs. I am running Windows 7 32-bit and have 1919 VRAM. Repost cause I am not going to wait 15 hours for a reply.
If everyone reposted cause they were inpatient, we would never be able to help anyone because by the time they got an answer, they would have already created a new thread. Also, from memory, I asked what your page file size was, or if it was enabled. Please use the old thread so this one can be locked http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1462452
