I know this question has been already asked. But I did not find any propper and secure answer on this. What is really the difference between a 33tick and 66tick Garry's Mod server? If I'm going to have a 24 slots roleplay server on downtown.
This is a quote from Flapadar in an older post but i've heard 66 runs smoother
33 tick is actually better if you have any amount of props. 66 tick and 100 tick are only useful if you have a lot of shooting going on.
I also found this: http://www.counter-strike.com/faqs/tickrate/

Too bad that article was for CSS. It's alot different than Gmod for example. Since we can spawn alot of props.
